37850 Drive Dog Kit

The Drive Dog Kit includes all items needed to replace the drive dogs: drive dog, bearing, pin and nut. The drive dogs need replacing if the spits do not rotate properly or rotate in a jerky fashion ie they do not rotate smoothly but slip and jerk unevenly.

If this problem is experienced it would also indicate accelerated wear and tear to the spits and spit sleeve assemblies (spring loaded caps in the left drum that the spits fit into.)

It is advised that when the drive-dogs are replaced the spit sleeve assemblies and spits should be replaced at the same time unless they are observed to be free of wear and tear (ie spits are not rounded on the edges or bent, and the springs in the assemblies are free and hold the spit bar tight in the drum.)

Failure to replace the spits or spit sleeve assemblies may result in accelerated wear and tear of the dirve dog kit and this is not covered by warranty where it can be shown that replacement was required.
